What the retatrutide phase 2 data actually says

People keep quoting “24% weight loss” without context. That was the 12mg arm at 48 weeks in TRIUMPH-2 style phase 2 data (Jastreboff et al., NEJM 2023), and the dropout for GI effects was not trivial. Summary: • Dose-dependent loss, curve had not flattened at 48 weeks. • Most GI events were during titration. • Heart rate increases were dose dependent and worth watching.
