# Epitalon Reconstitution and Dosing: Telomere Peptide Literature Versus Course Tables

Epitalon (also spelled epithalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide associated with the Khavinson pineal-peptide research tradition. Anisimov and colleagues reported effects on aging biomarkers, lifespan, and spontaneous tumor incidence in animal work (PubMed 12937724). A 2003 paper described telomerase activity in human somatic cells after epitalon exposure (PubMed 14631607). ClinicalTrials.gov indexes epitalon / epithalon studies (search).
Those citations are real. They are not a 10-day consumer course printed on a vial box.

Spelling drift (epitalon vs epithalon vs epithalone) sends readers to overlapping but not identical listings. Verify the sequence on a certificate of analysis, not the storefront title.
Lyophilized-vial math
Educational summaries use the same arithmetic as other freeze-dried peptides:
Concentration (mg/mL) = labeled mg ÷ diluent mL
Volume (mL) = desired mg ÷ concentration
Illustrative example only
A vial labeled 10 mg with 2 mL bacteriostatic water is 5 mg/mL. A 5 mg discussion figure would be 1.0 mL (100 units on a U-100 syringe). A 10 mg figure would be 2.0 mL. A 5 mg vial with 2 mL is 2.5 mg/mL, so 5 mg is 2.0 mL.
Those conversions explain why course tables that say "10 mg for 10 days" collide with vial size. They are not instructions to run a course.
Bacteriostatic water is the diluent named most often for multi-draw vials. Refrigeration after reconstitution is the usual storage claim. Beyond-use windows on unlabeled powders are not standardized.
Research-reference ranges
Community longevity pages typically describe short courses of daily milligram-scale amounts, then weeks or months off, sometimes repeated a few times per year. That calendar is tradition plus forum repetition. Anisimov 2003 is a biogerontology animal paper. Khavinson 2003 is a cell-culture telomerase paper. Neither one publishes a 10-day subcutaneous consumer protocol.

PeptIQ users who log epitalon often record short bursts rather than year-round daily entries. That is a logging pattern that matches the course narrative. It is not evidence the narrative works.
Route language
Community education discusses subcutaneous administration. Some older write-ups mention other routes used in clinic-tradition settings. Route lists in third person are not a technique guide.
