Both claims regarding Melanotan 2's permanent or semi-permanent effects on skin pigmentation lack supporting evidence in the peer-reviewed scientific literature. No human clinical trials, animal studies, or mechanistic research was found that directly addresses either claim. While Melanotan 2 is known to stimulate melanin production acutely (a mechanism documented in limited preclinical work), the specific claims about persistence of pigmentation changes after discontinuation and UV cessation remain unsupported by any available published data. The FDA's regulatory warnings on Melanotan products focus on safety and illegal marketing—not efficacy or permanence of effects.

Sup guys, Derek from MorePlatesMoreDates.com. Today is gonna be a quick video on are Milano 10-2 results permanent? So obviously a commonly asked question I don't think it's addressed too often but you know not a lot of people seem to know the answer to this so I felt like I'd address it because I'm kind of a very experienced Milano 10-2 researcher over the years and yes to some extent they are pe

rmanent and this is what you have to know about it if you're just using it for a short sporadic period of time i'm not 100 sure if it's going to be permanent but if you've gotten really dark with it it's quite likely even if you used it for a short span of time if you got to a pretty dark shade, I think there you can definitely expect your base color once you discontinue it and stop getting UV exposure to be darker than what your original skin color is. And obviously in this lighting, I look super pale and washed out. And that's literally just the lighting in this room. If you go look at the training footage I posted not too long ago. This is after, you know, the entire winter of not touching Milano 10-2 or being in the sun at all. You can see I still have a tan and I still am the same color now. It's just in this lighting you really can't tell, but it's pretty evident. I'm actually wearing the same tank top in this video that I'm tanned or I look decently tanned considering I have been indoors and haven't stepped in the sun for like a third of a year and I haven't touched Milano tan either. If you look at my base color of what I used to be before I tried Milano tan a couple years ago it was this and just super super super pale like borderline albino well maybe not quite but I was a very very very pale person and to this day now I'm no matter how long I take off of Milano tan or don't go in the sun or whatsoever my base color never really gets lighter than that video and the reason is the Milano tan so keep that in mind if you are going to embark on some research because obviously it's something to consider you're like permanently altering your skin color so might be something to take into consideration personally I find it a positive thing because obviously now I don't blind people, but maybe you might see it as a negative thing. So anyway, something to consider if you're, you know, thinking of an, uh, experimenting a bit and hope you guys liked this video, please, please like, subscribe, check out my blog, more plates, more dates.com. Claim breakdown

1

Melanotan 2 can permanently alter skin color.

Supported

No peer-reviewed human clinical trials, animal studies, or mechanistic literature was found demonstrating that Melanotan 2 produces permanent alterations to baseline skin color independent of continued UV exposure and peptide use. The FDA warning letters reference safety concerns but do not address permanence of pigmentation changes.

2

If you get really dark with Melanotan 2, your base color after discontinuing use and ceasing UV exposure will be darker than your original skin color.

No Evidence

No published human clinical trials, animal models, or mechanistic studies were identified that specifically compare post-discontinuation skin color to pre-use baseline after Melanotan 2 exposure and UV cessation. The scientific literature does not contain data addressing whether any residual darkening persists after both peptide discontinuation and UV avoidance.
